Yellowlegs on the Vedder.

Greater Yellowlegs. Non-breeders are seen occasionally in the Fraser Valley or at this time of year could it be on it's way to the northern interior to breed. This one was photographed on the Vedder River.

 This small heronry has been receiving attention lately from the male's providing branches to fortify their nests.

 As I was standing close to the picnic area a chickadee was hoping for a handout.
