McDonald Park, Abbotsford
This small heronry has been receiving attention lately from the male's providing branches to fortify their nests.
As I was standing close to the picnic area a chickadee was hoping for a handout.

Paradise Park, Sardis
During my neighborhood walk this morning I was fortunate to come across these two young accipiters calling for their parents. I would not have known they were there if they had not called as they were so high up. Look like possible Sharp-shins, more likely Cooper's.( This is Manual Park but Google maps show it as Paradise?)

Back at the Heron Reserve
Back at my favourite local birding patch a month after seeing the chickadee's preparing a nesting cavity they are now feeding young.
Further down the trail a Song Sparrow and Warbling Vireo's were singing

My Last Post in 2019 - Vedder Rotary Trail and Sardis Park
Bald eagles were feeding on the remains of dead salmon along the river. This one was resting close to the trail as I passed.
I know that American Dipper are resident on the Vedder and I am always hoping to see them on the trail side working their way along the rocks. I should have been prepared to capture an image as he left the frame.

Brown Creeper are always difficult to photograph as they forage usually in the company of chickadee's. I got lucky with this one.
Northern Shoveler surface feed at Sardis pond.
